One of the convenient features of an iPhone and being in the apple ecosystem is the ability to use iMessage to text from your computer. You could archive and send quick messages while you are already on your computer, without having to pull your phone up every few minutes.

iMessage would be connected to your apple ID and through that your iPhone.

After a lot of buzz, few days ago Android released its own messenger feature for the web. Today I got a notification that allowed me to try the feature.

To utilize this feature, you have to use the Android Messages app. Unlike imessage this is not connected to your google account, and it’s vie a web interface. You use a QR code to use the web to text feature at https://messages.android.com/.

The phone will show what machine you are using to text. I still have a few security concerns etc. But this is a welcome feature for anyone who is constantly on a computer.
